Pottery is the oldest handcraft and man’s first point of entry into what has evolved into a multi-billion ceramics industry. The very first ceramic products made by man were therefore pottery objects.
Inside Kigali Ceramic Filter Factory in Kacyiru, a City of Kigali suburb, elderly women and men are continuing this centuries-old trade, albeit using improved technology. Timothy Kisambira captured the process — from mixing clay to the final product.
