With over 20 years contribution towards the growth of the health sector through medical services delivery, Polyclinique la Medicale continues to effectively work together with other stakeholders including the Ministry of Health to promote the sector.

Dr Pierre Célestin Kanimba, the proprietor of the Polyclinique la Medicale says that over time, the health sector has seen tremendous developments which has not only attracted local but regional and international investors and improved service delivery in the sector.

Dr. Kanimba has been operating in the health sector since 1991 and currently, has over 146 health workers including over 30 doctors, 46 nurses with the capacity to handle at least 350 patients per day.

The hospital offers medical services including; General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endoscopy, Dental services, Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Physiotherapy

Others are Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose and Throat. It has 30 beds, state-of-art laboratories and other medical equipment used in the day-to-day delivery of medical services.

In a bid to give access to quality health services to population in rural areas, Polyclinique la Medicale supports other medical practitioners to start upcountry clinics. This has been done in Huye, Ngoma, Musanze and Gisenyi.

Dr Kanimba believes that there is still need for private investors to support the government in the provision of health services in rural areas.
