Valens Ndayisenga's dream of winning stage three of the Tour du Rwanda came literally crashing down, after a fall 150 meters to the finish line handed victory to Eritrea’s Haile Dawit.

However, his eighth place finish allows him to keep the leader's yellow jersey following his stage two heroics yesterday.

Haile Dawit clocked a time of 3h30’34’ from Musanze to Muhanga, a distance of 127.5 kilometers, with Ndayisenga a few microseconds behind.

20-years old Ndayisenga of Team Rwanda (Karisimbi) is leading the Tour du Rwanda general classification as the riders prepare for stage four (Musanze- Rubavu) on Wednesday, a distance of 138,8km.
