Latest: Ndayisenga wins Stage Two of Tour du Rwanda

Valens Ndayisenga of Team Rwanda (Karisimbi) has won Stage 2 of the Tour du Rwanda from Rwamagana to Musanze (153 kilometers), clocking 04h01'11''.

Valens Ndayisenga of Team Rwanda (Karisimbi) has won Stage 2 of the Tour du Rwanda from Rwamagana to Musanze (153 kilometers), clocking 04h01'11''.

This means that Team Rwanda will retain the coveted yellow jersey after winning Sunday’s prologue race by Janvier Hadi. Eritrea’s Mekseb Debesay won race from Kigali to Ngoma on Monday.

67 cyclists from 14 teams are taking part in the 8-day race, which continues tomorrow morning with stage 3  taking place from Musanze to Muhanga, a distance of 127.5 kilometers.

Three riders Lahsaini Mouhssine from Morocco, Rohay Du Plooy from South Africa and Burundi’s Tharcisis Ndayisenga have abandoned from the race.
