NYAGATARE — Connie Bwiza Sekamana, the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) parliamentary hopeful in Nyagatare District, has urged party supporters to vote for the party overwhelmingly.

Sekamana said this during an RPF rally conducted in Nyagatare town on Tuesday. During the campaign, a multitude of supporters danced and chanted party songs.

"I am sure most of you have witnessed the RPF achievements. Its achievements can be witnessed in the political, social and economic fields,” she told the supporters at Umutara Polytechnic University playground.

Addressing the crowd, Bwiza pointed out a number of RPF achievements including liberating the country, security, improved welfare, improved trade and infrastructure and uplifting of the national economy. This, she pointed out, makes RPF the most authentic party worth voting for.

Robert Kashemeza, the district party chairman, briefed supporters on the history of the party, urging them to massively vote for RPF candidates in the September 15 polls.

RPF supporters should show discipline during the election period, fight ignorance, poverty, genocide ideology and ethnic discrimination in the district, Kashemeza advised. The campaign was the fifth of its kind the district.

Since the official launch of campaigns in the district on August 27, the party has held rallies in sectors of Katabagemu, Mimuri, Musheri, Gatunda and Nyagatare.
