Editor,

It sometimes beats logic seeing a passenger throwing empty plastic bottles and snack wrappers carelessly by the roadside or in the trenches that has been tirelessly made clean. The tradition of cleanliness is our pride and we should collectively guard it by ensuring that nobody litters the environment aimlessly.

When we spot such incidents, we should advise the victims to dispose their litter properly and explain to them the importance of a clean environment.

Another front where responsibility is needed to curb carnage is transport industry. Commuters need to be on the frontline in supporting traffic officers in upholding traffic rules and regulations.

For example, why should one board a vehicle which is already full to standard capacity?

Let’s all work together for pollution and road carnage free country so that we can cut a niche of uniqueness above other countries.
