Local gospel musicians put on a blazing show Sunday night at Kigali Serena Hotel - weaving together unique, inspiring and tantalizing rhythms.

The concert dubbed-Gospel Flava attracted several gospel artistes, DJs and dance crews, in a grand style to a house-full of revelers.

Throughout the show, revellers were treated to different dance moves spiced with stand-up comedy.

The performances started at 11pm with a prayer by Pastor Abraham Njoroge Ng’ang’a of Remera’s based Hope Restoration Church.

Eddie Mico was the first artiste to perform. The Uri Uwera star performed with his band and belted out his inspirational gospel songs Ndashaka and My Redeemer Lives. Mico was followed by the Blessed Sisters, whose electrifying performance left revelers wanting more.

The guests also enjoyed traditional Rwandan music

The concert also featured performances by upcoming gospel artistes and, they didn’t disappoint.

Columbus Uwayo performed Mfata ukuboko. Gospel comedians Ramjan and Claptop cracked the crowd with their drollness jokes.

There were electric dance performances from Shekina dancers, The Blessings and Shining Stars.

The Sisters take to the stage

The Sisters also did renditions of Michelle Williams’ When Jesus Say Yes, while Patrick Bizimana performed Menye Yesu.

Serge Iyamuremye performed Amashimwe and Arampagije.

"I’m happy to perform in front of this crowd and I like the way the people sang along to my music,” said Iyamuremye.

Pastor Ng’ang’a called on other artistes to come on stage and Umutoni led them in singing the Gospel song called There’s Power.

For gospel music fans, it was well worth the wait. Derrick Baingana, a procurement student, said: "The concert was full of energy from the performers and the fans danced along. It’s an expression of gratitude to God.”

The concert was organised by Moriah Entertainment and Positive Productions.
