Women’s League: Champions AS Kigali host Rambura in league opener

The 2023/24 FERWAFA First Division Women’s League will start on October 7, according to fixtures released by the local football governing body (FERWAFA).

Champions AS Kigali WFC start their campaign against Rambura at Kigali Pele Stadium on the opening day, with 2022/23 second division champions and Peace Cup finalists Rayon Sports taking on ES Mutunda at Mutunda football pitch.

Last season’s runner-ups Inyemera WFC will start their new season with a clash against Kamonyi WFC at Gicumbi Stadium, while APAER FC host IPM on the same day at Rugende football pitch.

The national women topflight league comprises 12 clubs – Inyemera WFC, AS Kigali WFC, Bugesera WFC, ES Mutunda WFC, Fatima WFC, APAER WFC, Kamonyi WFC, Gakenke WFC, Indahangarwa WFC, IPM WFC and Rayon Sports WFC.
