Rwanda National Football Coach, Stephen Constantine has praised Heroes Soccer Academy for starting an initiative aimed at nurturing raw talented youth.

The English tactician visited the Masaka -based football Academy on Saturday where he spent two hours supervising shooting and other drills.

"I have a strong belief in grassroots development as far as football is concerned. Heroes Soccer Academy has set a good example as it has embarked on laying a foundation in building the future of Rwandan football,” Constantine observed.

The Amavubi Coach who has said in the past that he won’t shy away from giving young players a chance in the senior side reckons that football Academies like Heroes have the potential of yielding results like in Senegal or Ivory Coast,” he noted.

Heroes Soccer Academy owner Fidele Kanamugire revealed that the visit by the National team coach was beneficial to both players and coaches of the Academy and boosted the morale of the many young footballers.

Heroes soccer Academy was started two years ago and has 20 players drawn from various football development centers throughout the country.
