Rayon Sports are in talks with French coach Richard Tardy to replace Jean-Francois Losciuto, who joined Burkina Faso side ASFA-Yennenga last month, Times Sport can exclusively reveal.

Tardy was in charge of Rwanda under-17 national team for over four years from 2010 to 2014, and he took the team to the 2011 Fifa U-17 World Cup final in Mexico. He also handled the U20 team until his contract ran out in June.

"We are in talks with him but nothing has been agreed yet,” Rayon Sports team manager, Thierry Hitimana disclosed on Wednesday without giving much details.

Tardy has previously managed Aris Thessaloniki FC in the Greek Super League, Africa Sports and OC Khouribga, both in Côte d’Ivoire. He also managed Lebanon national team in 2007.

The Blues are looking for a new head coach to replace Losciuto who had signed a one-year deal in June but unceremoniously resigned two months later.

Rayon Sports will play their final pre-season match against Kiyovu on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the former league champions have named Aimé Emmanuel Niyomusabye as the club spokesperson.
