A jazz ensemble from German on Sunday will perform for the first time in Rwanda. The concert is free and it will be held at Kigali Serena Hotel starting at 7pm.

The Hamburg-based jazz trio Cnirbs, are on a tour of seven different African countries including Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa and Mozambique to promote their new record Hey Kollege.

Members of the trio are keyboardist and composer Matthäus Winnitzki, drummer Konrad Ullrich and trumpet and euphonium player Stephan Meinberg.

The band is famous for its unique folkloristic, complex global rhythms and solid beats which gives their music an exotic sound. They will also conduct a workshop with local artistes on Saturday, at the Goethe Institute in Kiyovu from 2pm to 4pm.
