A cartoonist in the making

IqraNeem's love for cartoons dates back to her childhood. At the age of 4, Iqra was already drawing simple sketches of people and the environment on small pieces of paper and according to her family, it was clear that she was destined to become a great artist. And she has not disappointed.

Iqra Neem’s love for cartoons dates back to her childhood. At the age of 4, Iqra was already drawing simple sketches of people and the environment on small pieces of paper and according to her family, it was clear that she was destined to become a great artist. And she has not disappointed.

Iqra, says when she became familiar with school life, she started picking some art skills from her primary teacher as he drew illustrations on the chalk board.

 Day by day, the young girl picked interest in art and almost got punished for drawing sketches in both her books and on clothes. Indeed when The New Times visited Iqra at Lycee Notre dame, she was drawing cartoons in a book.

Why Cartoons

Unlike many people who just draw for fun, Iqra believes she can actually take her artwork to the next level. The 16-year-old, who has a passion for cartoons and boasts of many pictorial compositions, says the sky is the limit.
