Inter-schools cricket finals set for today

The finals for this year's inter-school's cricket tournament in both genders will be played today at Kicukiro cricket oval. Both games are for 20 overs.

The finals for this year’s inter-school’s cricket tournament in both genders will be played today at Kicukiro cricket oval. Both games are for 20 overs.

Debutants Fawe School will face-off with IPRC Technical School in the girls’ final while the IPRC boys will play against Lycee de Kigali.

En-route to the final, Lycee de Kigali eliminated five-time winners Kagarama SS while IPRC defeated Apade in the semi –finals. In the girls’ category, Fawe eliminated Ndera while IPRC Technical School beat Lycee de Ruhango.

"We are going to face a very tough and more experienced side in the final, but we are not scared,” said Lycee de Kigali coach, Jimmy Gakwaya.

His counterpart of IPRC, Aimable Sibomana is confident about his team’s chances of winning the title.

Meanwhile, the UA Exchange and Express Money 50-overs Premier League continues on Sunday when Indorwa cricket club take on Right Guards at Kicukiro oval, starting at 9am.
