Former Police FC captain Moussa Mutuyimana has vowed to sit out the whole season should Rayon Sports, who claim to have bought his contract from Police, fail to meet his personal demands.

When Ferwafa took the decision that naturalised players, who had assumed Rwandan names get back to their original identity, Police released the players who were affected by the directive.

They included; Peter Kagabo, Frederick Ndaka, Sina Jerome and Moussa Mutuyimana.

It was reported that Rayon Sports paid Rwf18 million to buy the contracts for Sina and Mutuyimana and, by doing so, the Nyanza-based side would only pay the players’ monthly salaries.

According to reliable sources, Police paid Sina Rwf2 million and Rwf900, 000 to Mutuyimana as a send-off package for them to move to Rayon Sports.

However, speaking to Times Sport yesterday, Mutuyimana, whose original name is Fabrice Kasereka, said: "I expect to finalise personal terms with Rayon Sports before I sign for them. I understand they bought my contract from Police but I will not just go there and start working without them meeting my demands.”

"You don’t just move from one place to another just because your contract has been bought.

You must meet the new employer and discuss the modalities of work. I had my own working terms with Police which I think will not be the same at Rayon Sports,” added the skilled Congo-born midfielder.

The former Marines FC player noted that it’s his right as a player to meet with Rayon Sports officials to discuss any likely move and if that does not happen, he would rather sit out the whole season.

Rayon Sports vice president Charles Gakumba said: "Both Sina and Mutuyimana are our players. We are waiting for Police to give us clearance for the two players.”

"We will sit with the players and find an understanding before the new season,” added Gakumba.

Rayon Sports, who are also in search for a new head coach following the departure of Jean François Losciuto, will kick off the season against Nyamagabe-based Amaguju FC on October 18 at Kigali Regional Stadium.
