AMAVUBI head coach Stephen Constantine departed for Egypt yesterday to attend a Fifa organised technical analysis seminar scheduled for September 30-October 1 in Cairo.

Also to attend the seminar will be Ferwafa’s Technical Director, Lee Johnson.

The two-day event will focus on the technical and tactical analysis of the 2014 Fifa World Cup report produced by the Technical Study Group.

Delegates will look at the coaching and football development trends following Fifa’s flagship event, as well as medical and refereeing matters.  Another special session will focus on World champions Germany.

Recently, Fifa Secretary General Jerome Valcke said: "These conferences are essential platforms that enable us to share the main technical findings from the Fifa World Cup with the confederations and member associations, thus becoming a concrete educational tool to promote football development around the world.”

Constantine was appointed Amavubi coach in May on a two-year contract with a mission of helping the nation win the 2016 Africa Nations Championship (Chan).

He helped Rwanda edge Libya and Congo in the qualifier for Afcon Morocco 2015 group stages but the joy was short-lived as the Confederation of African Football (Caf) disqualified Amavubi for fielding striker Dady Birori, who had double identity.

In five matches, he has won four times and lost one, a feat that has seen Rwanda improve from 131st to 93rd in the current Fifa/Coca Cola rankings.
