I hate people who...

…don’t understand simple instructions like being brief. Last week as I followed an event held in Atlanta, US, I was disturbed by the sight of an adult who was unable to speak briefly and get to the point when given the chance.

The Hater.

This fellow later proved to be a waste of space as he kept using phrases like ‘in brief’ while going on and on about nothing in particular. He just seemed to enjoy the feeling of holding a microphone.

I know and hate these kinds of people who think that if they do not get a chance to speak at an event then it did not happen. Such people need to attend more birthdays and funerals if they want to get more time speaking. Otherwise if you have nothing to say, sit quietly.

…are always demonising events that they have not attended. There is a special breed of stupid people who never want others to be happy, unless they are part of the happiness.

I am sure you have come across these jokers who if they have not attended an event then it is their business to conclude and tell others the rest of the world how the event they did not go to was such a boring one. When they cannot afford to attend a concert for example, they will still find the time to describe how it was not as much fun as if they had more fun having missed out.

These people are simply interested in the misery of everyone else. I just think these are the kind of people who were not loved enough by their parents. Get a life guys.

…make senseless announcements on social media. I have always said that many people use social media to broadcast their stupidity. And it seems every other day I see a new breed of nonsense on these platforms. Take for example the people who post things like "Kigali here I come” or "Kampala here I come.” What exactly to they hope to achieve?

Are we supposed to stop what we are doing and organise for your arrival by may be planting banana stems on the roadside? Apart from the person supposed to pick you from the airport or bus park, no one is really interested in your grand empty announcements. Just change your location settings if you really feel the need to announce that you are moving from one place to another.

…are always generalising every situation. I am tired of people who are always generalising every situation to a point where I tend to think this is some kind of skill that appears on their CVs. These part time thinkers are always quick to attribute an individual’s action to a whole community making you wonder whether such deeply flawed logic was acquired through breastfeeding or a drug addiction.

I always wish I could ask these people whether everything they do, they do on behalf of their communities. Do they for example swear an oath to represent their community before they head to the loo? Such ethnic and racist nonsense has no place in today’s world.
