The renowned Cab trio of Mario Canonge, Tenorriod Adriano and Blick Bassy, currently on a tour of 21 African countries, is planning a performance come Tuesday, next week.

Cab stands for Caribbean, Africa and Brazil, reflecting the different origins of the members.

The band will play at Le Heaven Restaurant in Kiyovu on September 30, at 7p.m. Revelers will enter free of charge.

Cameroonian Blick Bassy is a guitarist and sensual vocalist, Martiniquan Mario Canonge is a jazz pianist, while Brazilian Adriano is a percussions master.

Together, they formed Cab in 2012, and have since released such songs as Oweyo, To Bale and Eseka. Their music transcends borders – a reflection of today’s global village.

The artistes are on a tour of 21 African countries for a total of 32 shows.

The tour in the region is organised by the Institut Français.
