Dear readers,

It is said that to effectively judge society by any aspect, one should look at the characteristics of those at the top and those at the bottom. Rwanda has fared well in most gender aspects with women taking the helm of political offices, civil service and board rooms, among other places.

However a revelation discovered during the World Export Development Forum showed that all was not well in gender equity with matters concerning public tenders. Women Today sought to establish why women entrepreneurs have a smaller share.

You don’t have to be rich to lend a helping hand, says Solid Africa founder, Isabelle Kamariza.

The non government organisation looks out for the welfare of helpless patients admitted in public hospitals in matters regarding hygiene and nutrition as well as seeing to it that they get back home after recovery. Today, she talks about how she set up the foundation, beginning with well wishing visits to patients to feeding more than 300 patients daily.

So maybe skirts aren’t your thing. And maybe that’s because you think you do not have the legs for them. So rather than give people something to talk about, you’ve rather stay away from them. Well, maxi skirts are the solution to this problem. You can wear them anywhere and they go all the way to the floor. They can be found in boutiques around town and also second hand markets like Nyabugogo. They are totally worth the try.
