League side Police Football Club has signed four new players ahead of the start of the 2014/2015 Turbo King National Football League slated to kick-off on October 18.

Police FC lost key players such as Jerome Sina, Moussa Mutuyimana, Musa Habimana, Fredrick Ndaka and Peter Kagabo following a decision by Rwanda Football Federation to fish out players with dual identity issue featuring in the domestic league.

Andre Cassa Mbungo’s outfit has now completed the signing of defender Muhamed Mpozembizi from Musanze FC, striker Ildesbrand Nshuti from Mukura and midfielders Rashid Karisa and Vincent Habamahoro from Sec Academy and Gicumbi FC respectively. "The club management found it necessary to bring new players to boost the team and to replace those who left the club early this month,” the club Spokesperson, CIP Jean de Dieu Mayira said yesterday.

"The management and club coach understand that bringing new players in the camp is critical to have a competitive team in the coming season and other tournaments, and we are still scouting more players,” he added.

"The four new players have already joined their colleagues in the training camp,” he explained.

Police FC finished fourth of the 14-team league last season and third in the Cecafa Kagame Cup tournament last month. The Cops are now targeting to lift the league title this season but in order to do so, they have to beat stiff challenge from rivals APR, Rayon and AS Kigali.
