Rayon Sports head coach Jean François Losciuto has joined Burkina Faso side l’ASFA-Yennenga on a four year-deal, according to News Agency of Burkina Faso website, http://www.aib.bf.

The Belgian coach, who had signed one-year deal with Rayon Sports in June, is reported to have left the Nyanza-based side last Friday "to attend to pressing family issues back home in Belgium.”

According to News Agency of Burkina Faso, Losciuto, represented by his Italian agent Giovanni Marchica of "Easy management”, signed on Saturday in the capital Ouagadougou.

Losciuto led Rayon Sports to the quarter-finals of the 2014 Cecafa Kagame Cup held in Kigali last month when they were eliminated by archrivals APR FC on penalty shootouts.

However, Times Sport could not verify the authenticity of the story as Rayon Sport president Theogene Ntampaka declined to return our repeated phone calls.  This paper followed the phone calls with a text message to Ntampaka but by press time he had not replied.

Losciuto becomes the third coach to leave Rayon Sports in a space of one year following Didier Gomez da Rosa, who departed in January to sign for Cameroonian side Coton Sport and was replaced by Luc Eymael, who also resigned towards the end of last season after being banned by Ferwafa.

Assistant coach Sosthene Habimana will be in charge of preparing the former league champions ahead of the start of the new season on October 18.

News Agency of Burkina Faso attributed their story to ASFA-Yennenga club president Eddie Komboïgo, who confirmed that a Belgian coach had signed to take over for the next four years.

Though Komboïgo would not reveal the name of the "Belgian coach” sources close to the club announced that it is François Losciuto.
