KIGALI Golf Club lost to their Entebbe counterparts in the return leg at the Entebbe course on Saturday but still retained the bragging rights in the annual friendly golf challenge.

Kigali went into the weekend action leading 2-1 over their opponents after their first win in February in Kigali but Entebbe, with home advantage, staged a good performance to register a total of 729 net against Kigali’s 813.

Despite the victory, it was not enough to surpass the big margin Kigali golf club had opened up as they were leading by 91 strokes before tee off.

Kigali Golf Club members registered 813 net. Allan Gichuhi returned the best scores for the team with a net score of 71.

Kennedy Murichu (73), Azzy Twagira (77), E.M Mukabwa (77), Claire Kaitesi (80), John Thairu (83), Stephen Katwiremu (85), Phillip Jacob (85), Jenny Linda (87) and Anthony Olwit (95) played crucial roles to help the visitors to retain the title.

Kigali club hosted the first edition in 2012 which they won, then in 2013 Entebbe Club leveled the series, but in February Kigali went 2-1 up before heading to Entebbe over the weekend.
