Kerala CC vs Indorwa CC 8:30am

Kerala Hunters cricket club team captain Suveesh Kottemmal is confident his team will win their first UAE Exchange and Express Money Premier League game against Indorwa today at Kicukiro Oval.

Kerala Hunters is the newest team in the league and this will be their first time to play in the 50-overs competition, which was last played in 2011.

Despite their team being new in this tournament, Kottemmal is confident that they cannot only win today’s game but also challenge for the title.

"We should not accept to be under dogs; we should go for a win and prove a point. We need to avoid reckless mistakes that can make us lose and stay focused,” Kottemmal said.

He added: "Sunday’s game is a biggest test for us, because we are playing a very experienced side with a very good pedigree in cricket. We therefore need to be at our very best, which means the players must put extra effort.”

Kerala Hunters beat Indorwa in the semi-final of the Zaaffran & Blueberry Hotel T20 tournament as well as in the group stage of the UAE Exchange & Xpress Money T20 tournament last season and they will be hoping to do it again in the longer version of the game (50 overs).
