Head coach Dr. Ljupko Petrovic says this is his biggest worry as he prepares for the first match against Musanze FC. "My boys are ready to start the new season. We have had good preparations and they are all in good physical and psychological form ahead of the new season,” "My only worry is in the goal keeping department. Our first choice goal keeper Jean Claude Ndoli is out injured and it will be hard to depend on youthful Olivier Kwizera,” Speaking to Times Sport yesterday, Petrovic said. In the new fixtures released yesterday by Rwanda Football Federation (Ferwafa), APR will kick off the 2014/15 season with a tricky encounter against Musanze at Stade de Kigali. APR depended on goal keeper Kwizera as they finished second in the 2014 Cecafa Kagame Cup losing to Sudanese giants Al Merreikh 1-0 in the finals. Ndoli sustained a knee injury during the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifier, first leg held in Congo Brazzaville. He is set to undergo an operation in Algeria before the end of this month. However, the military side might bring back its loaned goalkeeper Yves Kimenyi who helped guide Isonga to top flight league after winning the second division league title last season. Meanwhile, the military side has confirmed the list of 30 players who will take part in the upcoming season. The new faces in the club include Djamal Mwiseneza, recently signed from Rayon Sports, Arafat Bahame from Etincelles, Issa Bigirimana from Burundi and Abdul Rwatubyaye who returned back from France following his disappearance from the U20 team during the Francophone Games held in Nice, France in 2013. Mid fielders Jean Claude Iranzi, Andrew Buteera, Tumaine Ntamuhanga, and skipper Ismail Nshutiyamagara have all renewed their contracts. APR won a double last season and will also represent Rwanda at next year’s Caf Orange Champions league while arch rivals Rayon Sports will participate in the Confederation Cup following their second-place finish in last season’s league.
