RWANDA’s top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa is eager to win the Uganda Rak Tie Break Tennis Open championships title.

The one-week tournament, that got underway on Saturday, will run until September 13 at the Jamal Ramji Centre Court at Lugogo club in Kampala.

The 31-year old, who left the country for Uganda on Saturday afternoon, start his title bid today against home boy David Kaboyo in the first round.

Gasigwa is seeded number three at the tournament behind David Oringa and Duncana Mugabe both from Uganda. Kenya Open champion Ismael Changawa and Uganda’s Moses Otiti are the other seeded players in the tournament.

This year’s edition includes four categories namely; men’s singles, women’s singles, U-19 boys’ singles, and U-18 girls’ singles.
