In a phone interview, the winner of the PGGSS3 competition, confirmed he will take to stage at Rwanda’s annual biggest music event, and called on the public to turn up in large numbers.

The singer, who was recently involved in a road accident and spent days behind bars for driving under influence and without a license, shot to fame with his track Rutenderi released more than four years ago.

He says he is gearing up for the release of his sixth studio album.

Riderman is also known for hits like Umwana w’Umuhanda, Nakoze Iki, Cisha Make and Ibyahishuwe.

The 26-year-old created his first group UTP in 2006.

Following release of his first solo album in 2009, Riderman has since shared stage with several international stars including Sean Paul, Mr. Flavour, Elephant Man, Koffi Olomide, Brick and Lace and Sean Kingston.
