Rwanda is looking forward to, at least, a fair result against a rampaging Black Queens team at Accra Sports Stadium, on Tuesday, September 26, in the second leg of the 2024 WAFCON qualifiers.

Rwanda was walloped 7-0 at home by a well drilled Black Queens side on September 20.

It looks impossible for Rwanda to overturn the seven goals deficit, but they will try to hold the Ghanaians and prevent scoring that much again.

Rwanda now has a fair idea of how the Ghanaians play and may be able to overcome the stage fright and do something meaningful.

With seven goals already in their basket, Ghana is likely not to exert much force. They could start with the four local based players in their 23-woman squad and foreign players such as Ernestina Abambila, and Vivian Adjei. Others who didn't dress for the game in Kigali might feature. Sensational midfielder Grace Asantewaa who plays for Juarez FC in Mexico has arrived in the camp. She missed the first leg in Kigali due to flight arrangements.

Rwanda might not make many changes to their starting 11 but they will opt for a more defensive approach so as not to concede more goals.

Rwanda's front trio of Alodie Kayitesi, Florence Imanizabayo, and Zawadi Usanase showed glimpses of individual brilliance in the first leg. They must do more if the team is to get a goal in Accra.

There will be no gate fees charged for the game according to the Ghana Football Association. This means there will be many supporters at the stadium. The Rwandan team must hold their nerves as Accra Sports Stadium is big and very intimidating.

In all, it is going to be a great game and Rwanda must do everything possible not to be buried by an avalanche of goals.

The winner of the two-leg tie will face either Gambia or Namibia in the final qualifying round for a place in the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco.
