Gicumbi Football Club have signed five players ahead of the new season, which is scheduled to start next month.

Among the new signings for Emmanuel Ruremesha’s team are four Congolese players, Pappy Meta, Serge Mwenge, Tresor Comba, all on two year deals, while Mustapha Kasoro signed for one year.

The Turbo King National Football League side, which finished in ninth position last season with 25 points under Jean Baptiste Kayiranga, have also signed Amagaju FC skipper Yumba Keita on a two-year contract and Eric Muhanuka from Police FC on a one-year deal.

"The six have been on trials for some time now and they all did well, I saw them as players who can help us do well next season, but I still need to sign another four or five players ahead of the next season,” said Ruremesha.

Ruremesha, who guided Espoir FC to a sixth position last term, wants to bring in good players as he seeks to put together a strong side that is able to secure a decent place in the league.
