Women cyclists in camp ahead Youth Olympic Games

THE WOMEN CYCLING duo of Benita Uwamarayika, 18, and Clementine Niyonsaba, 17, have started intensive training ahead of the Youth Olympic Games due in Nanjing, China from August 11-15.

THE WOMEN CYCLING duo of Benita Uwamarayika, 18, and Clementine Niyonsaba, 17, have started intensive training ahead of the Youth Olympic Games due in Nanjing, China from August 11-15.

The pair is camping in Musanze cycling centre and they will spend two weeks undergoing rigorous preparations ahead of the Games.

 The training camp is funded by the Rwandan Olympic Committee. 

 Meanwhile, Jeanne d’Arc Girubuntu, 19, and Beathe Ingabire, 19, are also expected to attend the camp to enhance their preparations ahead of the 2015 African Continental Championships to be staged in South Africa.

All the camps will be coordinated by Daniel Matheny; a USA licensed coaching and former professional cyclist and the Technical Director, Jonathan ‘Jock’ Boyer.
