Al Hilal Benghazi vs Rayon Sports: Five players who could decide the game
Saturday, September 23, 2023

Libyan side Al Hilal Benghazi will be hosting Rayon Sports in a CAF Confederation Cup second round first leg clash which will be held behind closed doors of the Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, September 24.

The game was initially scheduled to take place at the Benina Martyrs of February 19 Stadium in Benghazi but the floods which claimed over 5000 lives in Libya made Al Hilal to shift their game away from home in CAF in Kigali.

Rayon Sports were exempted from the first qualifying round whereas Al Hilal also defeated Kakamega Homeboyz of Kenya 4-1 on aggregate in that stage.

Joackiam Ojera

The Ugandan forward is known for his acceleration and his ability to cut into the box which results to either a penalty or an assists for a goal.

Ojera has already shown his quality in the domestic league and is now looking forward to excelling on the continental stage.

He remains Blues’ live wire going into the game with Al Hilal Benghazi.

Kelvin Andoh

Andoh joined Al Hilal Benghazi on July 23, 2023 from fellow Libyan Premier League side Al Suqur.

Andoh previously played for Ghana Premier League clubs Karela FC as well as Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He is a nimble footed winger known for his dribbling skills and ability to get into the opponent's 18-yard box and score goals.

Defenders Elie Ganijuru and Ali Serumogo must keep an eye on Andoh throughout the game to avoid his deadly runs from him.

Charles Bbaale

The Ugandan striker scored for Rayon in the 3-0 Super Cup win over APR and also netted the opener when Rayon beat Gasogi United 2-1 in season opener.

Bbaale is a goal poacher who thrives on services and, if he gets the needed balls, he could put his name on the score sheet in Benghazi.

Kelvin Eze Ifeanyi

Al Hilal made a double swoop this summer by signing Kelvin Andoh and Kelvin Eze Ifeanyi from Al Suqur.

Idea yo is a great finisher who hardly misses chances. He scores from both inside and outside the box.

He netted a brace as Al Hilal dispatched Kakamega Homeboyz of Kenya 4-1 to book their ticket to the second round.

Abdul Rwatubyaye and Isaac Mitima have a tough task to stop the striker from operating.

Ally Serumogo

The Rayon Sports new signing is an experienced right back whose overlapping runs can result in goals.

Serumogo is yet to adapt to coach Zelfani Yamen’s system of play but, on any good day, he has the tendency to lift Rayon Sports to victory through an individual moment of brilliance.
