Kiyovu Sports Club have named Ali Bizimungu as their new head coach on one-year contract running until August 2015, Times Sport understands.

The former Mukura, Muhanga and Rayon Sports coach will join Green Baggies after they failed to sign Eric Nshimiyimana. The ex-Amavubi Stars’ handler instead joined AS Kigali. Muddy Byumvuhore, the Kiyovu Spokesperson confirmed Bizimungu’s signing in a phone interview on Saturday.

"Bizimungu has immense experience and a great knowledge of the game and commands the respect of the players. We know that he will do a great job. I’ve had a few discussions with the club’s top management and I’m happy with the direction the club is taking.  I will do all I can to make the team better,” Bizimungu said.

He replaces Gilbert Yaoundé Kanyankore, who spent one year with Mumena-based outfit and managed to help the club finish in fifth position in the league and reached the semi-finals of the Peace Cup.
