Local musician Diana Teta has denied rumors which are circulating that she has been suspended from Gakondo traditional music group.

Reports earlier this week indicated that Teta was suspended from the group over indiscipline. However, Teta has denied any wrongdoing on her part.

"I’m still part of Gakondo group and on good terms with everyone in the group. I was never suspended; I don’t have any case of indiscipline. I think these rumours came because I didn’t perform with the group last week because I had some personal things to take care of,” she said.

Gakondo group is a traditional music group that specialises in Kinyarwanda traditional songs.  It boasts of talented musicians such as Intore Massamba, Jules Sentore, Diana Teta, Lionel and Michel.
