RWANDA DUO of Lea Uwimbabazi and Seraphine Mukantambara is ready for the U19 World Beach Volleyball Championships, which is slated to run from July 29 to August 3 in Porto.

The duo will depart tomorrow ahead of the tournament in Portugal. Coach Vedaste Ntanteteli said he believes they can do well.

"We have been doing well in the tournament, we will do all we can to represent our country in a proper way. I believe the girls will give their best,” he told Saturday Sport in Thursday.

He added, "This is a big tournament and for the young girls it will be tough for them but I am confident they will give their best.”

The 13th annual double-gender age group event will be held in Porto as the FIVB now has an unprecedented four age-group world championships for beach volleyball held annually.

The team will be headed by Jean Pierre Libanje as chief of delegation, the matches will be held at the Transparente building beach for the second consecutive year, and for the third time since 2010.
