THIS YEAR’S Airtel Rising Stars championships reach the quarterfinals and semi-finals stage this weekend and matches will be played at Kicukiro and Ferwafa grounds respectively.

Boys’ category quarter-finals are set for this morning while semis take place in the afternoon where as girls’ quarters and semis are scheduled for tomorrow. Draws will be held on the same day.

In the boys’ category, the Northern Province is represented by Rubavu FC and Bigogwe, while the Southern Province’s representatives are Umurabyo FC and Rusizi United.

The Eastern Province quarter-finalists are Gatsibo Academy and Kayonza Football Training Centre whereas Kigali City teams in the last eight round are Play for Hope and Top Guys.

In the girl’s category, the Northern Province will have Nyakiriba FC and Rwa 155, while the Eastern Province will be represented by Kayonza FC and Abarashi Academy.

Mutara Academy of Ruhango district and Nyanza are representing the Southern Province, while the City of Kigali teams in the round of eight include; AS Kigali and Young for Hope.

The finals of the two-month long U17 national championships sponsored by Airtel Rwanda are scheduled to be played next weekend at Kigali Regional Stadium.
