THE United Kingdom Conservative Party under their Project Umubano is set to play against the Abakambwe cricket team today at Kicukiro Cricket ground.

This is going to be the seventh time that the teams meet. The visitors will also visit the Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation project in Gahanga.

Wendy Morton the project leader said, "It is an addition to our community service, we are looking forward to the cricket match against Abakambwe.”

She hopes that their team comprising of MP Jeremy Lefroy, Louise Perry, Andy King, Ranulph Murray and others will upset the Rwandan based Abakambwe team.

Since 2008, the Umubano project team has won only one game and lost five to Abakambwe.

Charles Haba, the Abakambwe captain who also doubles as the president of Rwanda Cricket Association, said he is ready to lead his team into another victory.

Haba said that they have put together a strong team comprising former Rwandan national players like Julius Mbaraga, Henry Zizinga, Emmanuel Byiringiro and Gatera Venuste among others.
