RWANDAN DUO of Grace Niyigena and Delphine Uwicyeza lost their first game in U21 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, which is underway in Cyprus.

Rwanda is in group B with Canada, Kazakhstan, Paraguay, Poland and Germany. Rwandans lost to Canada’s Bukovec and Miric 2-0 (2-11 and 21-4). By press time, Niyigena and Uwicyeza were due to play against Varassova-Yeleferenko Kazakhstan.

Today, Niyigena-Uwicyeza will meet Kociolek-Gruszczynska Poland and on Saturday they will be up against Michelle-Erika from Paraguay, while the Rwandan pair will meet German’s Glenzke-Schreiber on Sunday.
