TURBO KING Football League side Police FC will not buy more players after making three new signings during the current transfer window.

According to the club Spokesperson CIP Jean de Dieu Mayira, the Peace Cup finalists are ready to compete for trophies next season.

"We will see what the coach needs but we have no intention of buying other players because we have players who are good enough to compete for trophies,” Mayira told Times Sport on Wednesday.

He added, "You never know the dynamics of football, things could probably change in a matter of hours, but for now we have no intention to buy other players.”

Coach Andre Cassa Mbungo has signed goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure, striker Jimmy Mbaraga and left back Mwemere Ngirinshuti from his former club AS Kigali, all on a two-year contract. The team also released nine players.

Cassa Mbungo’s first task is to win next month’s Cecafa Kagame Cup where Police is placed in Group C alongside defending champions Vital’O of Burundi, Sudan’s El Merreikh and Benadir of Somalia.
