AMAVUBI DEFENDER James Tubane has joined former champions Rayon Sports on a two-year contract.

Tubane penned the contract this week to complete a move that will see him feature for the Nyanza-based club until 2016. However the amount of money involved in the deal is yet to be established.

Rayon Sports club chairman Theogene Ntampaka told Saturday Sport yesterday, "We hope to bank on Tubane’s experience and skills to win more trophies next season,”

"He is one of our best signings and we have given him everything he requested,”

The Blues are also in talks with SC Kiyovu forward Musa TSova who has been training with the Nyanza-based club since this month begun.

"The player is interested in playing for us but we need to first talk to his club SC Kiyovu before any commitment can be done.”

The 2012/2013 league winners have appointed Belgian Jean Francois as their new head coach. The Uefa Licence A holder arrives in the country today to start his engagements with the club which is preparing for next month’s Cecafa Kagame Cup.

The 42-year-old coach joins after a six-month stint with Togo’s Anges FC de Notsè which he left in March after losing a Champions league first round match against Enyimba of Nigeria.

Rayon Sports will lead Rwanda’s quest for honours in the Cecafa Kagame Cup which is set to attract clubs from across the region.
