Access to internet services could be boosted thanks to MTN Rwanda’s new campaign aimed at increasing internet usage across the country.

The campaign  code named "Oh, the things you’ll learn”  is  expected  to showcase how important the Internet is for communicating, discovering and learning.

According to MTN’s General manager of MTN Business, Norman Munyampundu, the new Internet campaign is aimed at creating awareness on MTN internet packages, educating subscribers on the benefits and opportunities that the internet offers while showcasing MTN’s digital value offerings.

"The internet is an essential part of our everyday life. As a user, one wants constant and affordable supply of internet so as to sufficiently communicate to loved ones, study and work efficiently and get updated with local and international events. This new thematic Internet campaign creates awareness for the vast opportunities available through the use of MTN Internet,” Munyampundu said during the launch yesterday.

Munyampundu, further noted that the initiative will be cost effective to all subscribers and will promote access to informaton.

"This package has been created specifically for our customers to experience and engage with us on digital platforms by keeping in mind the apps or sites that our youth use the most. This Social Pack will allow our customers to access the most popular social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp at an extremely low price.”

Customers will have to dial *349*1#  to access the service, however, if they do not re-purchase a pack or attempt to access external links from Facebook or Twitter, customers will receive a notification informing them that they will be charged from their main account.
