FORMER PLAYER Juma Adams Mugabo has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Rwanda Rugby Federation [FRR].

Mugabo beat Marcel Koko and Jean Pierre Nshimiyimana to the post which will be financed by the International Rugby Body (IRB).

IRB instructed the local rugby federation to install a new office for the CEO such that he can closely coordinate the sporting affairs with the international body as part of promoting the sport in the country and Africa in general.

"I have been taking part in the sport for a long time and I fully know everything that matters in as far as Rugby in Rwanda is concerned,” Mugabo who has been offered a three-year contract told Times Sport yesterday.

"I will work closely with both local and international stakeholders to improve the standards of the sport in the country,” added Mugabo.
