With just a week to the first elimination stage, Primus Guma Guma Super star season 4 contestants are pulling all the strings to get the best rating from the judges and the audience.

The Musanze road show started on a low but ended with an amazing performance.

Dressed in long, purple evening attire, Diana Teta was the first artiste to perform.  She had a good performance but it wasn’t her best. She didn’t appeal to Musanze residents when she performed Uwanjye and Call. Dream Boys came next on stage. Although their backup dancers didn’t change the dance rhythm, it was an excellent opening act that got Musanze dancing.

Jules Sentore put on a beautiful performance that had male backup dancers performing the Rwandan traditional dance. His performance of Udatsikira and Indashyikirwa cemented him as an artiste to reckon. After performing alongside Nigerian artiste Davido on Liberation Day, Jay Polly wasn’t at his best probably due to fatigue. However, he was the most popular with Musanze residents when he performed Ku Musenyi and Celibataire.

Rocker Bruce Melody’s performance didn’t disappoint. Bruce Melody delivered on his promise of putting on a good performance; dressed in a red suit, his performance of Uzandabure and Telephone ranked among the best performances of the day. Hip-Hop artiste Amag the Black hit the stage with Urwanda rw’ amafaranga and Care.

Having a good backup artiste did little to change his performance as he tried to wow Musanze. Hip-Hop diva Young Grace had a regular performance but his style of attire was awesome. She performed Ikimenyane and Muze tubyine. Christopher wowed the audience with Iri joro and Uwo Munsi which was probably the best performance he has had this season.

Coming in last were Active and Senderi International Hit who equally didn’t disappoint. With a splendid dance routine that people are getting accustomed to; Active performed a syncronised dance routine with back up dancers that was incorporated into the songs they performed; Ayaya and Pole.

Senderi was the last to perform and paid tribute to Ruhengeri; an area that is synonymous with mountain gorillas. His backup dancers were dressed in gorilla costumes while he performed Nsomyaho and Icyomoro. All artistes had something new up their sleeves but all that will be settled next Saturday when all artistes head to Gisenyi in the Southern Province for the first stage of the eliminations.
