For the 4th time in a row, Maisha film lab annual competition is back and will take place during Rwanda film festival that runs from July 12th – 18th.

The 15 contestants will feature in the competition that involves script writing, producing and directing films. Among several applicants, the final 15 include, Alexander Nyirinkwaya, Frabrice Nizeyimana, Israel Dusabimana, Jean Baptist Nyabenda, Anis Ndayisaba, Yves Amuli, Jules Sibomana, Nicolas Impano Blaise, Placide Safari Mugwaneza, Roger Niyoyita, Ella Mutuyimana, Samuel Ishimwe, Frank Izere Mugarura, Claudine Ndimbira and Benko Habimana Pluvier.

Contestants will undergo a one week mentorship programme about script writing, directing and production of films that will be facilitated by renowned script writer Amy Boghani, producer Matthew Bell, and famed Rwandan film producer, writer and director Joel Karekezi.

Contestants will be required to work on movie projects after the training sessions and the best film will be awarded $2000.
