Meanwhile, as our Focus (page 3) discovers, others have been losing their cool over the process of picking up their new identity cards. Queues are long, the procedure unclear and disorganised.

With half our team here on holiday, the stress of putting a paper to bed has been even worse than usual. Deadlines have been repeatedly missed, and from journalist, to editor, to production assistants and managers we have all been tearing our hair out.
Days now are hot and dry and tempers seem quick to flare.
The need to unwind is more pressing than ever. That’s why we have tried once again to fill our pages with stories for you to sit back, relax and enjoy.
