CURRENTLY touring the country in promotion of Primus Guma Guma Super Star 4 (PGGSS), Martine Gatabazi, the marketing manager of Bralirwa LTD, describes her fashion trend as classic. 

In an interview with Society Magazine’s Doreen Umutesi, Gatabazi expresses her love for colourful short dresses because they make her feel good and bring out her true persona. 

 How would you describe your dress sense?

I like feeling good and free with the clothes I wear. Anything that is light and comfortable, I would go for it. I’m very classical but stylish. I actually don’t go for designer clothes like it is with most people. Some people consider designer clothes as top of the range, but all I do is see a beautiful outfit. It’s funny; I never look at the tag on an outfit to see who designed it. 

What’s your favourite clothing item?

I love dresses (short, just above the knees) that are colourful. I don’t like long dresses because they make me feel like I look older than my actual age so I dress up in slightly short dresses  to strike a balance.  

Where do you shop for clothes?

I mostly shop when I travel. I usually shop from Belgium. My style is vast, so I can’t say I have a specific boutique where I buy most of my clothes. As long as an outfit is beautiful, I will buy it no matter where it is.  

What do you consider when shopping clothes?

Nice coloured clothes usually attract my attention. Comfort is another thing I consider when shopping for clothes, I will buy anything that will put me in a good mood.

What is your favourite fashion accessory?

Bags are my favourite accessory. When I love one bag I can buy three or four of the same brand but in different colours.

 What is your favourite clothing item on a guy?

A nice fitting pair of jeans is my favourite clothing item on a guy. It even appears magnificent if they blend the jeans with a bright coloured polo shirt.

What’s your favourite scent?

I wear Amour of Kenzo, I love the fact that it smells really nice and the scent stays on you for long hours. 

Any fashion advice?

Wear whatever makes you feel good if it brings out your personality and makes you feel comfortable. I’m a classical person in terms of fashion, but I really love people that are very trendy.
