Three Rwandan musicians are among artistes who will headline the third edition of the DOADOA-East African Performing Arts Markets festival slated for May 7-10.

Mani Martin, Christopher Muneza and Angel Mutoni yesterday left for Uganda ahead of the festival due in Kampala.

The official opening ceremony for the DOADOA 2014 will be held in Kampala, while the activities will take place in Jinja.

"I am excited for this opportunity and I will perform to the best of my ability and show that Rwanda has got talented musicians,” said Muneza before adding, "Our invitation to perform at a regional level demonstrates recognition of the growth of our music and this encourages us to work even harder,” he added.

DOADOA provides a platform for professional networking and joint learning.

The festival brings together various stakeholders and links people, organisations and businesses to create demand and develop a market for the performing arts and unlock the potential of the East African creative industry.
