Now that you are returning to school following a one-month vacation, it is important for you to set some goals which will help you excel this term.

While it is important to play games and take part in leisure activities, you should also get serious about your studies.

Plan this term carefully because your parents, guardians and teachers are expecting you to be successful.

Firstly, make sure you go to school on time. You can make a timetable for your daily activities and make time for both studies and play.

It is important to go to school regularly and do the homework given to you in class.

You should respect your teachers as they have a lot of wisdom. They are always available to help you with your studies.

You should also look after your body by eating healthy food because this impacts your performance in school.

Reading good books in your free time will help to improve your language skills.

Be friends with the children in your class. It is important to learn to get along with your classmates because it will help you learn many important life-skills such as teamwork.

Ask for your parents’ help in forming long-term goals for the year. This may include improving your marks or learning a new sport or hobby.

In this issue of The Children’s Times, we have spoken to a few children to learn about their goals.

Having such goals will also help you excel.
