Are you looking for a weekend programme for your children to avoid excessive TV watching, boredom, and inactivity and instead engage in fun, thrilling, and affordable activities? We've got you covered.

Here is a list of fun places for kids to enjoy:

1. Acacus Playground

For an amazing place to spend a day with your kids and rejuvenate from a long week, Acacus Playground is recommended. It's an interactive place located in Kabeza designed for children ages six to 14.

The playground offers a variety of activities, from a shallow splash pool with slides to bouncy castles, trampolines, and more. The place does not exclude older kids or adults, as they can go-cart riding and play football on a small soccer court.

Acacus Playground combines entertainment and learning. It encompasses a soft survivor area, a pool playground with slides, soft play ball pools, go-karts, and toys.

There is a summer package for kids that runs until September 29 where they can access all games at Rwf17,000, inclusive of food like chips, burgers, and ice cream. On the side, a child can experience a 3D Go Kart racing game, with opponent players at Rwf 15 minutes for Rwf10,000.

2. Spiderman Game Centre

Kids from one year to 12 years can delight in outdoor activities such as horse riding, trampolines, bouncy castles, PlayStation, shooting hoops, airplane games, swimming, and car racing at Spiderman Game Center, Masaka.

Besides games, youngsters can also be enchanted by a Spiderman character and capture cool moments in photos.

The entrance fee is Rwf5,000, and the above games can be accessed, exclusive of activities that are paid separately like swimming at Rwf 1.000, PlayStation video gaming at Rwf1,000, and car racing for Rwf2,000. This is a play and party venue not only for kids but also for adults.

3. Coconut Game Park

This is a new amusement park in Kacyiru where children aged two to 16 years can relish all kinds of entertainment, with amusement park activities like trampolines, bouncy castles, and horse riding.

Ornamented with perky colors, the space is suitable for parties and carnivals. Each kid pays an entrance fee of Rwf5,000 to participate in all games. It is open every day from 8 am to 9 pm.

4. Sanitas Leisure Park

Located in Kanombe, the park offers a kids' garden that includes swings and a bouncy castle for ages between three to 12.

With a mini-football playground, the little ones get lost in playing football, making merry, and keeping fit at the same time.

Two football teams of 14 participants pay Rwf50,000 for two hours. Entrance goes for Rwf 3,000.

5. Tintin Kids Play Centre Kigali

Whether your child is interested in learning to swim or just loves swimming, Kimihurura-based Tintin Kids Play Centre Kigali is safe for children to swim.

The play center also includes an indoor playground, allowing kids to play imagination games, puzzles, and crafts every day from 9 am to 6 pm.

To participate in all activities, children from one to eight years pay Rwf5,000 to enter.

6. Nyamata dance training

Children of all ages can subscribe to monthly traditional dance lessons that take place every weekend from 3 pm to 4 pm. Monthly payments go for Rwf25,000.

7. Imbuga City Walk

For cycling and taking evening walks, Imbuga City Walk or Car-free Zone offers a safe atmosphere to partake in any of the activities while also enjoying window shopping or viewing the city of Kigali at the same time. What better way to experience the city while accessing free Wi-Fi and engaging in endless conversations with family and friends!
