A group of young artists ‘Hindurwa’ that have been on a three month music tour in the USA have raised funds for about 500 needy children.

Under African New Life Ministries, the band performed in charity fund raising concerts, according to Enric Sifa the team leader.

"It is always a good experience because we see the result of our sweat. African New Life Ministries also picked us from the streets.

Our lives changed and we believe other depressed lives can change too. That is why we are called Hindurwa (Be changed),” Enric Sifa said without revealing how much was raised.

African New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Charles Mugisha, (the senior pastor of New Life Bible church), cares for thousands of needy children in schools.

The group included two new members Jean Claude Nshimiyimana and Moses Mbona that joined the team this year.

The 17-year-old Jean Claude Nshimiyimana is optimistic the band will elevate him to another level of his singing talent.

He says that the tour was so superb and that it added more confidence in his aspiring music career.

Emma Twebaze the band pianist said that the band performed in over 70 music performances with unique African tunes.

The band performed in different high schools, colleges and universities in the US. Other places they performed from were churches.
