NORTHERN PROVINCE-BASED Musanze FC has suspended the team coach, his assistant and team captain over alleged unprofessional conduct in their league match against Mukura early this month.

Tanzanian head coach Hussein Baraka, his assistant Maurice Nshimiyimana and skipper Omar Hitimana were suspended indefinitely for having played a role in the team’s 3-0 defeat to Mukura at Ubworoherane stadium.

Musanze FC’s Secretary General Musa Hakizimana refused to comment on the matter when contacted by Saturday Sport yesterday.

However, he was quoted by local tabloids earlier, saying that the club reached a decision to suspend the coaches and team captain over poor results and what he described as unprofessional conduct exhibited in the game against Mukura.

Musanze are in sixth position in the league with 26 points having won 10 matches, drawn six and lost seven in 24 matches played this season, while struggling Mukura moved to eighth spot with 22 points after a win over the former.

Musanze play away to Etincelles tomorrow at Umuganda stadium before facing AS Kigali and Rayon Sports in the last two matches of the season.
