ISONGA FC will be out to get a crucial victory when they face Sorwathe in a Pool A league encounter this afternoon at Ferwafa ground as the knock-out stage looms.

Sorwathe are second in Pool A with 32 points, while Isonga are fourth with 30, one point ahead of Vision Jeunesse, who play against third-placed Rwamagana (31 points). Sunrise, who take on Intare in Huye, top the pool with 37 points.

In other Pool A matches, Vision FC will be up against Kirehe, while bottom side Akagera take on Gasabo tomorrow.

"We know how much a win against Sorwathe means to us, we have prepared for this game, it’s an important match that we badly need to win so that we progress to the knock-out stage,” Isonga FC coach Yves Rwasamanzi said yesterday.

A defeat or draw for Isonga with a win for Rubavu-based Vision Jeunesse vs Rwamagana will see the latter qualifying for the knock-out stages at the expense of Isonga, while a draw or defeat for Vision Jeunesse will see Isonga into knock-out stage.

In Pool B, leaders SEC Academy with 32 points will take on ASPOR this afternoon in Kicukiro.

Tomorrow, second-placed Bugesera (29 points) face third-placed Interforce (26 points), fourth-placed Unity FC (23 points) face United Stars, while fifth-placed Etoile de l’Est (22 points) take on strugglers NUR.
