GTV secures FA Cup rights

The English football season kicks off today with the customary Community Shield match between league champions Manchester united and FA Cup winners Portsmouth.

The English football season kicks off today with the customary Community Shield match between league champions Manchester united and FA Cup winners Portsmouth.

But the big news for GTV customers is that they would now be able to watch the FA Cup after the British pay-tv company secured the rights to show the oldest football competition in the world.

Steven Kinuka, GTV’s country manager to Rwanda said, "We (GTV) have been showing exclusively Premier League with 80 % rights, now we have secured exclusive rights to the FA Cup.”

Kinuka further noted that GTV is committed to providing wholesome and exciting viewing for its customers that’s why that also show Copa Libertodores (South America’s equivalent of Uefa Champions League), the Germany league (Bundesliga), Italian Serie A and local leagues such as Uganda Premier League, Tanzania Premier league, Cecafa Championship, Ghana Premier league, NBA league and Rwanda league so soon.
